Sweet Cedar Cabin in Big Bear Lake, CA
The Sweet Cedar Cabin is 2 Bedrooms and 2 Bathrooms (private to each bedroom), 836 Square Feet with an efficient layout to maximize the cozy space. Decked out with a gas/wood burning fireplace, beautiful front porch looking at pines and cedar trees a fenced backyard and don't forget, we're pet friendly!
Entering the Cabin
Sweet Cedar Cabin will not disappoint on your cabin vacation dreams. Walking up to your vacation, you will enter the cabin through the front porch, that has graciously shared its living space with a huge Sugar Pine. We have a smart lock, so you will have a code that is unique to you. No need to carry keys! We have a check‐in person available from 3pm‐6pm, but we will make arrangements for arrival after-hours.
Living Room
Entering the Sweet Cedar Cabin, you will find the living room with airy vaulted ceilings, chunky exposed beams, natural rock wood burning fireplace, with a gas log starter (for those of us without a fire‐starting thumb) and a huge sectional perfect for cuddling on those cold fall days. Our TV is equipped with Netflix, HBO, HULU and Disney+.
Kitchen
Our expertly apprised kitchen is open to the living room, with a native live edge cedar slab on the bar. Pull up our comfy leather bar stools to the bar top. Our designer kitchen is an homage to the original aesthetics. By utilizing the vintage oak cabinets, we kept that quirky cabin vibe, but upgraded to today’s necessities with an earthy color palette worthy of this scenery. You will not miss our custom vent hood, designed specifically for this space. Your host loves to cook, so the kitchen is stocked with pots and pans, and all the goodies to make sure you can whip up a tasty meal. Browse through the Sweet Cedar Cabin’s Recipe book. Filled with the hosts favorite recipes. We encourage our guests to share a recipe during their stay, a guest book for the kitchen.
Dining Area
The custom dining table and bench were built by your guests, specifically for this space. The dining table is built for four with two fining chairs with cushions and a bench along the wall. If you don't need a four seater table, the table can be slid against the wall and the bench will fit underneath to help open the space. You'll also find board games under the bench and TV.
The Wolf Guest Room
Just off the kitchen is the Wolf’s Sanctuary Guest Room. The Wolf’s Sanctuary has a queen size bed, with a headboard that won’t block any of your natural sunlight pouring into the room. Melt into the Premium Posturepedic mattress and feel the stress dissipate as you watch Netflix on the 40” TV. The Wolf’s Sanctuary has its own bathroom attached to the room, which also has an entrance to the hallway. This is perfect so guests don’t have to enter the bedroom, but also allows for private use from your room. The bathroom is equipped with a brand‐new vanity, toilet and full‐size shower.
The Bear Master Bedroom
Just down the hall from the kitchen is the Bear’s Retreat Guest Room. The Bear’s Retreat has an exquisite knotty pine King Bed frame. Sink into the heavenly mattress as you choose to stare out the back‐sliding glass door or turn on the 40” Smart TV for a little escape. The Bear’s Retreat has a walk‐in closet, perfect for hanging up your mountain wardrobe, or stashing luggage. The private bathroom has a brand‐new vanity, toilet and a shower/tub combo. Just out of the Bear’s Retreat sliding glass door you’ll find the backyard with a quaint patio set for your enjoyment.
The Backyard
Our backyard shed is currently locked, we have big plans for this so bear (no pun intended) with us! Our patio deck just received a refresh with a four seater table, umbrella, two rocking chairs and outdoor rug. Our backyard also has a barbeque with the tools for you to use. Great for spending evenings barbequing!
